Cascadle Unlimited

What Unlimited is

Unlimited gives you an endless supply of Cascadle chains to practise on. Same five levels, same colours, same cascade — but you can start a new one the moment you finish, instead of waiting for tomorrow.

It is the mode to open when the daily cascade left you curious, or when you are learning how the inherited colours behave and want ten goes in a row rather than one.

How it differs from the daily cascade

  1. Chains are drawn at random, so you and your friends will not be playing the same one.
  2. Nothing here touches your daily streak. Practise as badly as you like — the daily record stays clean.
  3. You can skip a chain mid-solve if it is not going anywhere. There is no penalty and no score to protect.
  4. Your best tile score in Unlimited is tracked separately from your daily best.

Why practice actually helps here

Most word games reward vocabulary. Cascadle rewards reading the board — at every new level you already hold most of the letters, and the skill is working out where they go and which one got dropped. That is a pattern you get faster at with repetition, which is exactly what a practice mode is for.

A useful drill: at each new level, before typing anything, say out loud which letters you are confident about and which position you would test first. Doing that ten times in Unlimited is worth more than ten days of dailies.

Where these chains come from

Unlimited draws from its own pool, kept completely separate from the daily schedule. You will never bump into a chain that is queued up as a future daily puzzle, so practising can never spoil a puzzle for you.

Questions about Unlimited

Does Unlimited affect my streak?

No. Streaks only come from finishing the daily cascade. Nothing you do here counts either way.

How many chains are there?

Enough that you are very unlikely to see the same one twice, and the pool grows as the game does.

Can I get the same chain as a friend?

Only by coincidence — Unlimited picks at random for each player. If you want to compare scores, play the daily cascade.

Is my progress saved if I close the tab?

Yes. The chain you are in the middle of, your solved count and your best score are kept in your browser.
